Smile Earth Day

Happy Earth day ppl! We have been out today - with it being earth day and downshifting week - trapped inside a stuffy hall trying to get ppl excited about the environment with lots of free samples and heaps of advice - but it was a really dissapointing day - just feel like all my effort was wasted on ppl who just didn't/don't care. Thats the only preoblem with mother earth - the fools who live on her (present company or readers excepted of course)

Anyway rant over just wanted to try to celebrate this day a little so now have my glass of organic wine and am raising a glass to our marvellous planet that produced it!

Default Re: Earth Day

Yes, World Earth day should be a lifelong practise. All it takes is the gentle movement of one pebble to become a landslide. Turn off that water while brushing your teeth or shaving. Take a "military" shower (turn off the water while lathering), install low flow shower heads, faucets. Use your own bag when shopping, reduce air conditioning & heating usage. Plant trees or volunteer for litter pick up. Wow the list could go on & on. Start small & build upon your foundation, soon you'll find a mansion of joy. Recycle/reuse as much as possible. Support the use of environment friendly goods & services.

Thumbs up Re: Earth Day

Yes! Earth Day is Every Day! It starts with an ever growing attitude, and enlightenment. Knowledge, then hard work and sacrifices. Spreading the word. Go solar, one child or none, hybrid vehicle, reduce, re-use, and re-cycle in so many ways. Be tough and not an over tolerant bleeding heart. Anti-environmental behaviors must stop, the underlying causes stopped, and ignorance and greed fought in never ending battles for our children's children's children, and millions of other species we are taking down with us.
