Just wondering what everyone else's opinion is on this. I'll be honest. I think it's just downright sick! They claim there are no other options (or no other good options) to control fisheries. They also claim that it doesn't harm the environment. It has effects on insects. If they use it as a piscicide, um, what about the insects that hang around the water? Doesn't harm the ecosystem eh? Maybe they should use some common sense instead of trying to convince people that it's "ok" to use.
The "fact sheet"... http://www.pan-uk.org/pestnews/Actives/rotenone.htm Now this is what ticks me off... http://www.fisheries.org/units/rotenone/index.htm As you can tell I have a strong opinion on this. ![]()

I don't trust a general fish killer to be safe in any eco-system including lakes. I don't trust general herbicides or insecticides either. One supposedly safe herbicide has been causing cancers and is no longer safe. A "new" insecticide was found to re-uptake to flowers and cause bees to not find their way home.
Where have you been Kelly? This place needs more than the mostly spammers!!! ![]()
