Politicians sure showed their influence by special interests rather than deal with the scientific facts of what must be done at the Cpenhagen climate change conference. Here, we were hoping for an agreement of honor and enforcement among nations to reduce the HGHG output of humans 80 to 90% within 10 years. What is hoped as a minimum to get off the track toward self-sustained methane releases and a thermageddon of untold horrors.
Phasing out all coal fired power plants with solar, tidal, wind and even nuclear. Phasing out totally slash and burn and swampland draining agriculture. Changing vehicular travel to hybrids and electric vehicles, and vastly reducing jet travel and use. Vastly increasing home growing and local growing for full nutrition while cutting back drastically on ocean going freight. A new era of eco-morality which included reducing populations 50% as soon as possible, maybe even a forced moratorium on having kids, and increasing death penalties.
But no, nothing was accomplished and people are on an out of control train headed toward disasters of unimaginable magnitudes.
The four horsemen approach with death;
water pollution and depletion, soil depletion and food crises, climate change to malevolent, and oil depletion. Mass deaths from lack of water, malnutrition diseases, lack of immunity and other diseases, wars over resources, cannibalism with starvation, and climate disasters unknown to recent history.
Politicians are nothing but corrupt scum the world over. They are with those who only care about their own measly little lives, and don't care about the lives of their grandchildren.
